Dr Tamara Mijovic, MD CM FRCSC OTL - Otologist and Neurotologist
Dr Tamara Mijovic is an ENT surgeon specializing in Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery. She has an expertise in pathologies of the Ear including hearing loss, tympanic membrane perforations, chronic ear infections, cholesteatomas and ossicular problems (e.g: Otosclerosis). Her skull base expertise encompasses vestibular shwannomas (Acoustic neuromas) and superior canal dehiscences, amongst other things.
Biography
Dr Tamara Mijovic is an assistant professor at the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at McGill University. She is the director of the McGill University Health Center vestibular lab and the McGill Temporal bone lab where she teaches ear surgery under cadaveric simulation.
Prior to joining the faculty at McGill, she graduated from the McGill Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery residency program in 2014. Dr Mijovic then pursued fellowship training in Otology and Neurotology at the University of British Columbia where she gained vast experience in specialized ear surgeries including Skull base surgery for Acoustic Neuroma et Endoscopic Ear Surgery. She is a pioneer of endoscopic ear surgery in Quebec, a minimally invasive approach to ear surgery
