The Régie de l'assurance-maladie du Québec covers the cost of an ENT specialist consultation. You must bring your medical insurance card issued by RAMQ to the appointment. Make sure your card is not expired to prevent any additional charges.

Yes, you must have a medical prescription to consult an ENT specialist. A medical professional will give you this prescription if an ENT consultation is required.
How long does it take to get an appointment with an ENT specialist?
It is hard to give a precise answer because the waiting times depend on several factors. However, we wish to ensure a tolerable waiting time and we will be sure to respond within reasonable delays.

Does my private insurance cover hearing examination fees?
Many insurance companies will reimburse fees related to hearing exams. We recommend that you check with your insurance provider to determine whether you are eligible for a refund. Please note that you can indicate this expense during your tax report, under the federal section titled Medical fees.

How long does it take to get an appointment with an audiologist?
The delay is minimal. We can give you an appointment within the month.
At what age should I begin to get regular hearing evaluations?
A person's hearing begins to decline naturally as early as 50 years of age. This phenomenon is called presbyacusis. Because the deterioration is gradual, it may be difficult to notice. A regular check-up of your hearing may give you the opportunity to act proactively in order to preserve it as long as possible. Our audiologists are trained to help you prepare a long-term protection plan.
